Yes and the article I posted was during is reign.Chavez died in 2013 with high inflation yes but comparable to Argentina’s right now .. Venezuela inflation today is on another level
And yes inflation is worse now but there are reasons for that.
Firstly Chavez was borrowing money from China and spent all of it on the people leaving nothing for the next leader.
And now Maduro is left with it all, plus he has decided to ban any Venezuelan loans from the IMF and top it off there is sanctions that countries including Canada and America have put on the country.
It's oil production has decreased as well.
Again I am not defending Maduro but it seems most people here with an opinion have no understanding of the history of this country, which is fine but then be self-aware of that and don't be so opinionated.
with that said though, of course it is important to note that Chavez was a much better leader than Maduro and had skills to run the country much better.
But even with that still both were corrupt, but before you judge them because they are corrupt don't forget America is also corrupt.
