Jake's Bio

Jake has a unique perspective of the criminal justice system because he’s seen it from both sides. He’s had family members work in corrections and law enforcement, as well as loved ones who’ve served time behind bars. Jake believes in law and order but thinks jails should be a place of rehabilitation instead of punishment.

Jake was born to humble beginnings in Columbus, OH to teenage parents. Many of his friends sold and used drugs, but Jake was never tempted. He’d heard horror stories about being incarcerated and never wanted to jeopardize his freedom. Jake’s dad worked at the state prison for several years, but got into some legal trouble and spent six months in jail. Jake, a high school senior at the time, was devastated that his dad missed out on major milestones in his life—his senior football season and high school graduation. The two have spent years trying to repair their relationship, and although they are close today, a lot has gone unsaid.

Now a father himself, Jake wants to go undercover to better understand what his dad experienced while locked up. Jake hopes this experience will finally bring closure to that painful time in their lives. This 60 Days In superfan is confident he can navigate jail seamlessly. His only fear about going undercover is being courted by a gang. Jake is engaged, has two young children and, in his free time, he manages professional boxers.

CLIFF AKA "JAMIL" Bio

Season 8
Growing up in New Jersey, Cliff watched his friends and family members go in and out of the prison system, and share horror stories of the conditions. Cliff has never been incarcerated and credits his supportive family for keeping him out of trouble and encouraging him to excel in school. Cliff has had a couple run-ins with law enforcement, and often wonders how different his life would have been had he been incarcerated. Cliff wants to better understand the challenges his loved ones face behind bars.

Cliff is confident he’ll withstand 60 days in jail. As a child, he was exposed to drugs, gang activity and violence, and his incarcerated cousins shared their experiences with Cliff on how to navigate life behind bars. Cliff also has family members who’ve worked in law enforcement and corrections, so he has an idea of how jails should and shouldn’t be run.

In October 2021, Cliff’s best friend was the victim of a homicide. Heartbroken from the senseless loss of life, Cliff is going undercover to honor his best friend and encourage young guys to use their words instead of guns. Cliff considers himself a mediator and wants to inspire his podmates by sharing his positive message of unity and hope. Today, Cliff is a proud dog-dad; he works in film and is a hip hop and rap recording artist.

Charlotte aka "Coco" Bio

Charlotte “Coco” was a hardworking mom whose life got flipped upside down after serving one year in prison. Still working to rebuild herself since getting released nearly seven years ago, Coco is outspoken about the injustices women experience behind bars, and the obstacles individuals face even after they’ve served their time.
A military brat, Coco was raised by her strict Army veteran father who served in Desert Storm. Coco wasn’t allowed to wear makeup or girly clothes, so she acted out as a result. In high school, Coco, who is biracial, was picked on by her classmates for not being “Black enough.” She learned to be outspoken and stand up for herself. Coco became a mom at 18 and worked two jobs to support her children and purchase their first home. But in the blink of an eye, Coco lost everything she had worked so hard for—while she was working at a smoke shop, she was charged with drug trafficking and sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison. Coco had never been away from her three young children and had to quickly learn how to parent from behind bars. She was horrified by the lack of feminine hygiene in prison, the corrupt staff who favored certain individuals, and the limited reentry support. Coco also felt as though many of the women behind bars were wrongfully convicted, herself included.
Coco is ready to start a new chapter of her life. She is happily engaged and has two more children; she is also a proud grandma. Coco is still making up for lost time with her oldest kids, whose lives she missed out on when she was incarcerated. She is turning her passion into purpose; as a participant on 60 Days In, she hopes to expose mistreatment of incarcerated people, and end stigmas about convicted felons. Coco is excited to be starting a new job after years of incarceration-related discrimination; she hopes to one day write a book or be a talk show host.

The musician looks so out of place and scared every time he speaks and he’s talking too much, his story makes no sense.

And the hilarious part was the EX CO dude was showering out the open and he came and sat down to eat and the inmates were all mad calling him a fakkit to his face because they thought he was trying to catch. :mjlol:

They have to stop using ex-cons on the show because it’s just too traumatizing being back confined behind the walls.
