Missed rampage so thread made me watch the match. Trent is such a better wrestler than Cole. Just infinitely more believable in look and ability. Cole is skinny fat now too. He looks ridiculous beating anybody in a "fight". The no-selling has been an issue since I've seen him.
I still have no clue why he’s so over. He’s decent in the ring, but not even top 20-25 in any company.

I mean, maybe if he was still under the E banner he would be, but only because of “budget cuts.” :mjlol:

I hate how these Indy darlings don’t be selling shyt. That’s probably why I enjoy CM Punk matches so much because he understands story telling.

I still don’t get the hype behind Adam Cole short skinny fat ass. Breh has the WOAT look for a guy who’s supposed to be one of the best in the business. Lil big head mutha fukker.

I always wondered why guys didn't start off with their strike finishers. Like, why would Big Show, for example, wrestle for 15 minutes when he could do his K.O. punch as soon as he gets his opponent in a collar & elbow lockup?

This is exactly why strikes were illegal.

the only thing over about him is his chant, you take that away and he got nothing :heh:

i remember people used to say Daniel Bryan’s yes chant was more over than he was but that’s actually way more accurate for Cole’s chant, everything else about him is vanilla midget status

dude is also lucky all this stan war shyt distracted everybody from roasting his turncoat ass, dude was the champ when NXT was getting whooped going head to head with Dynamite and he decided to switch sides like KD on the Warriors :gucci:

Cole is an Elite/BC guy so he gets a pass with the smarky marks. :ld:

Once The DDT stopped being a finishing move I gave up being bothered by how dudes recover like Superman from every move.

Since wrasslers in aew get to keep their continuity the indies intact.
A vet guy like cole would be able to recover from an apron move.
As he already been through the killer apron spot.

If grapplers get to keep their continuity.
It aids psychology of the match.
For so long you guys never were able to keep up with the continuity of grapplers.
If they signed to vkm.
So at least now...
When you view a grappler from an indie background.
You get them where they left off in their story.
Instead of no continuity.

Only guy i can think off given some of his rub and continuity aas aj styles.
Even then it took forever to see any psychology rrmotely close to why aj was aj.

shyt you had to beg to see a styles clash.
Plus no psychology that made the styles clash was employed.
Which made aj styles aj styles.

So at least with a large alternative like aew present.
You do not get the continuity of a vet undermined and disrespected.

Hangman page is a grappler.
who had probably the craziest apron spot in the past five years with jay white.
If he no sells an apron bump i understand.

In wwe hulk hogan is the only guy who had atypically had continuity when it served him going on. Other than that. Continuity on a main stage was generally lost.

Sting is the only other grappler i can remember who debuted in my life time.
From another promotion and given some semblence of his continuity aftrr going to a major promotion. Ric flair maybe the only large drawing me i remember who kept his continuity in the wwe originally. Yet even that was purposefully undermined.
or at this point being systemically buried by WWE.
using their in house created charlotte.

Everybody else typically was buried.

Outside hogun in wcw.
Hogun is probably the only one given his full continuity as a character.
I would like to say macho. Yet macho was systemically buried in wcw.
Plus alternatively had his angles stolen by the other promotion.
in less quality but in a main event setting with stephanie.

You gotta build up that super meter
Only Brock starts off with full bars and infinite meter

Didn't tully Blanchard do a Canadian destroyer in aew once:mjlol::mjlol:
Petey Williams should hire Clarence Mason to send cease & desist letters. Everybody does destroyers now. I think I saw one of the concession stand workers hit a Canadian destroyer on some guy who shorted him 57 cents.
