Not defending America, but the not great is bullshyt.
Let's get something out of the way. The United States does not exist to be a caring mother to its citizenry. Its not here to give great treatment to all of its citizens. The United States is an economic engine. Being an economic engine, it chews up and spits out those who aint on board. It could care less about educating some of its citizenry because it knows there are people out there that want the cold economic engine. At that, the US is the best and most efficient. Hell, its great at that. Those who are expecting something else, need to go back and look at those immigration films from the early 1900s. They need to go back and read about pilgrims, about why slaves were brought here, etc. Its a damn machine, and doesn't pretend to be anything else. You either get that or you don't. Its not going to change either. No other country has the stomach for it. China is trying, but you see their government is not sure where to continue. Japan tried. Great Britain was damn near there and got some moral consciousness. Again, once you get it, you'll get it. US doesn't give a damn about you unless you are a cog in that system and doesn't care what you or even its own citizens think about it. Understand?
