Yeah like everybody who watched the whole game can see the effect that Bridges had, his stans are a weird bunch.
Steph is the most unfairly criticized star on this board, and yet his stans are the "weird bunch". Or do you not read the bullshyt that is posted about him on this board, especially after he has a bad game?

I gather more to the point about eliminating the narrative that Bridges was locking up Steph, is he missed a number of shots that he typically makes. He actually had more trouble shooting over Ayton and McGee than he did with Bridges. He lost Bridges on a number of those possessions, and it was the efforts of other players that affected the looks he had. Steph sees physical defenses every single game (more than any other player), where he's pushed and pulled in every direction, and yet he's still been the most efficient volume scorer over the last 6-7 seasons. It's important that folks realize that before they start wrongly attributing defense being the cause of why he misses shots.

It's reminiscent of how the whole Delly shyt was used in the agenda of, because Steph shot poorly in one game during the '15 Finals, where folks were saying he was locking up Steph and using it as means to shyt on him, when under closer observation, Steph missed shots he typically makes. Which came as no surprise when he torched Delly in every single game for the rest of that Finals series, and torched him in all the games they've matched up in since.

The thing with Steph is, with the difficulty of shots he takes on a nightly basis, he's always going to have games like this from time-to-time where his shot is off, that lend folks to putting an overemphasis on what the defense did. That's not taking anything away from what the Suns did on the defensive end, but it was more Steph than it was them.

1 Lebron James still exists

2 There were also multiple times where Bridges was matched up against Steph and he couldn’t even get space to get his shot off and he also managed to stay attached to him when he was navigating screens. When you’re fighting like that for space you may rush even your “open” looks and you may miss shots that you typically make.

Like I said, everybody who watched the whole game saw what happened. It may go differently on Friday, but for now it’s not a crime to give the guy(and the rest of the Suns) credit for a great defensive effort.

The defense on Steph is more than just who's in front of him at the time of the shot. It's about being physical with him, picking him up full court, making him work on the defensive end, forcing turnovers on his teammates trying to make plays.

The Suns did a great defensive job and Bridges was a big part of that.
In the video, those are shots steph hits all the time :unimpressed:

Kudos to the Suns tho. They did a good job. Steph will be better on Friday

man shut up

steph missed 17 shots that he'd typically at least make a quarter of. he makes that quarter and the warriors win and we talking very differently

Disappeared?

That's funny because I swear I was posting in this thread after the game, and in multiple other threads. What a coincidence your eyes don't allow you to see things that exist in reality. That seems to be a habit for you and @Malcolmxxx_23.

:lolbron:
