There's plenty of albums with no skips. There may not be some songs on the level of the highs, or songs you don't want to hear at a specific time, but as an album you let it ride all the way through. Those songs do not disrupt the flow or take you completely out of the album.
I think this is coming from the mindset of just listening to a particular song, or in the mood for a handful of songs...more prevalent in the singles/playlist era...when everything is critiqued and not enjoyed. But there are albums in which you only flock to the highs, and the rest of the songs aren't good at all.
Liquid Swords, Cuban Linx, Infamous, Midnight Marauders, The Chronic, Be, Illmatic, Music to Driveby, Low End Theory, Even something like Saigon's Greatest Story Never Told which gets little to no attention...doesn't have the highest of highs, but each song flows seamlessly into the next and are also good to great solo entries. You have to play that all the way through.
