new jack going solo was one of the goat shows. i recorded ecw every week for awhile and i just recorded over the previous week but that one i kept. watched it atleast 40/50 times.

• Elaborate....because I swear more than one source said that Russo made Owen go up on those rafters, despite the fact that dude didn't feel comfortable with doing the stunt.
• WCW was still doing numbers, even though they were losing to Raw. Nash was somewhat a tolerable booker, even though he always booked himself to go over.
• Russo didn't have anything to do with those numbers, it was a mixture of TNA receiving top talent (Cage, Hardy, Angle) and fans looking for an alternative during that weird time of the WWE.
• WWE ratings were still crazy high and Russo leaving didn't do much damage at all. Stone Cold getting injured and Trips running wild may had been the contributing factor to ratings being a point or two down.

The irony of the whole ECW contributed to the attitude era argument is that ECW bit off of Memphis wrestling promotions and FMW. The difference is that Paul added a bit of 90s flavor to the already established ideas.

What has more "memorable" moments, ECW or TNA?

I would say they've both had memorable moments, I've been to many ECW shows and they were all memorable to me, but TNA is fresher in my mind, so it's tough.

But TNA had way more classic matches, people don't realize how much ECW was rinse and repeat, if you watched one show or ppv, you've basically watched em all. Same impromptu 3 way matches every other show.

Uhh...the show wasn't doing poorly until Russo started to hijack the entire promotion with his silly ideas. When you have majority of the Nitros focusing on work and shoots to a bunch of southern wrasslin fans that still trying to embrace dial up...you in for a rude awakening.
