Have you tried to Pump his legs to his tummy? It releaves gas in tummy. Also warm oil (not hot) rubbed on tummy helped my daughter.

Bicycle kicks help temporarily but he ends up crying so hard that he chokes on his saliva, so I end up having to pick him up and start the hour long pacing around.
