It sounds easy but their entire team can knock the 3 down at a high rate. The thing that makes Nova so deadly is that they can afford to expend a lot of energy on defense.
If Mikal needs to lock down the best player on the opposite team they still have 3 or 4 other guys who can go off for 25+ any give night.
Oh yeah no doubt I agree. Michigan will have to be on their A+ game to even have a shot. They can't come out sluggish unless Villanova plays the same way. Simpson had a rough game until the final 6 minutes.
I don't know, I'm looking at it from the perspective of Villanova hasn't played a team like Michigan(when they are playing well offensively) in the tournament. I'm sorry but radford, alabama, wvu, txtech, & KU CAN'T play defense like Michigan and those teams can't score like Michigan.
I think Mo & Mathews will bring it. We just need MAAR & Robinson off the bench to provide. The great thing about Villanova is ANY one of the starting 5 are capable of breaking your will and everyone in Michigan 5 can do the same except for Simpson on the offensive end. I think it will be a good game...
Michigan will win this game in my opinion and I think Duncan Robinson and MAAR will both play out of their minds. Every person in the world is picking 'nova, they have to come out and play up to expectations, Coach B will have the team loose.
Villanova prides themselves on getting off to fast starts. I like kansas but they played shytty defense and didn't even play up on the 'nova players, they gave them free reign like they were shooting in the gym. UM will apply pressure. I just hope its enough...
