Figured that's what you mean, was just making sure because of the wording. I feel you on the poor not receiving help, I have a couple bags of clothes & sneakers I wanna send, but I want to make sure they go to the poor/less fortunate communities. A couple Dolphins players setup a drop off at Dolphin stadium, so I might just go there. If you or any poster know of a better place to send them, let me know.No. They will be the first people we help with the money. They clearly do not need to donate. I been trying to find agencies that specifically help those with less of income. The issue I've seen is that everyone is willing to help the middle and upper middle class community but the poor is not receiving help. So I am looking at the moment for good charities in Houston. I have been looking all day.
How about this one:

@wickedsm
You holding up okay.
I didn't get a chance to go through that big thread to see what's going on with everyone.
Yeah, setup a gofundme and we can worry about that later.Figured that's what you mean, was just making sure because of the wording. SHAPE looks good for a general place to donate to. But how would we get donations to posters though? Or y'all want me to just setup the gofundme now and worry about that later?
Shape Community center is an EXCELLENT place to donate. They've been working in the community for decades.No. They will be the first people we help with the money. They clearly do not need to donate. That sounds good broYeah, setup a gofundme and we can worry about that later.
Once the gofundme is setup, we will get a list of the posters who lost a lot during this and need help from SE Texas. Once we can meet their needs, the rest will go directly to SHAPE. I seen their BOD and execs. They tend to do a lot of the wards in Houston and surrounding areas.
Thanks brooklyn! This means a lot.
PayPal makes the most sense than. That's adds up with 100 donations.That sounds good bro
I just checked, Gofundme's fees (7.9%+ $0.30 per donation) are more than double PayPals (2.9% plus $0.30 USD): GoFundMe Fees https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/what-are-the-fees-for-paypal-accounts-faq690
I can set up a separate campaign through the donation page on here to that the amount and everyone who donates is logged on a separate page from the regular site donations.
$2.27 vs $1.02 in fees for a $25 donation for example ads up...
