need a new laptop. something small. for word processing, watching hd movies and streaming hd movies and live tv.

same price for the 13inch. besides the obvious specs, is there any real difference? performance wise?

The keyboard isnt that great
Lack of HD space
Lack of a Disk Drive
Lack of a Ethernet port

Its not meant to be a replace for a desktop or laptop but a compliment.

im okay with those lack of specs.

how about overall performance? like watching hd movies/streaming hd movies and tv? any lag?

thats my main priority.

no more cable for me, im just streaming.

My sister has the Macbook Air

Its perfectly fine for streaming movies, word processing, browsing the web ect. It even handles torrents pretty well

It has a good battery life and doesn't overheat. The only thing I don't like is the keyboard. I'd try out typing on it first to see if you can fukk with it

would any of these be good? if so which? budget isn't a problem but has to be reasonable.
A MacBook Air is not reasonably priced. You are basically paying more than double for what can handle your needs.

If you are bent on getting a mac, get a macbook pro at the very least.

thanks for the info brehs. so i guess its between the pro and air. seeing its the same price.

but i see that apple is gonna make the air its primary laptop in the next year and faze out the pro. with "ultrabooks" being the norm.

If you are going to get a MacBook pro go with the 15 inch. The MacBook air is better then the 13 inch MacBook pro in many ways.

:pacspit:

The Air did match the Pro in certain areas. The display differences are a split decision, depending on your needs, but if you do a lot of visual work, the Air's higher resolution won't make up for its limited color gamut in our experience.

But the Pro had advantages in five of the rounds, with clear leads in CPU performance, storage capacity, available ports, optical drive integration, and expandability and future upgradability

The Coli
can you be more specific? i heard pro is more for advanced users (photoshop, video editing etc)

what exactly was shyt about it?

I saw review videos where they did all that stuff on the air w/ no problems. I'm actually lookin at both of these too.
