Maybe I’m misjudging people’s attitude, but is it not such that it feels as if there is a disproportionate amount of focus placed on the trans issue and that is what grates on a number of voters?....
-You're correct but we all know the enemy was focusing on it so whether we think it's disproportionate or not doesn't matter. People care about it.

This all leads back to 2016, Americans decided that neo-liberalism is dead and they don't trust institutions anymore. People wanted populism, either right or left which is why Bernie Sanders was popular, along with Trump. If people think it's still the fault of progressives or their messaging, then congrats you'll have republican rule for the next 30 years.

We’re just in a social media swing of people amping their concerns and nursing their quibbles that go viral hoping for someone to fix their discontent

Literally every non-cac that tells me they support Trump, cite the whole trans thing as their reason.

At first, they'll say it's because of the economy, but as you dig deeper, they reveal it's because of trans people in bathrooms and reading to kids or whatever.

HOWEVER, cacs--who make up the majority of republicans and maga--simply hate black people and are willing to vote against their own interests to hurt us..

So it's hard to say if trans issues are what's hurting democrats.
Black employment didn't take a hit during the first trump admin until the pandemic.

Guess who demanded everyone close their businesses.

Yep - they weaponised this one well, but Dems seemed unprepared, and in the same way Labour in the UK seems to have a similar issue.

it’s not even as if the questions from the other side are particularly nuanced or even hard to guess - ‘What is a woman?’ blah blah, etc etc.

Standard gotcha type shyt, and left-wing parties keep getting got.

If you have to sacrifice people or minority groups to win politics, then you dont deserve to win or govern. There are two major political parties, one is vehemently anti LGBTQ and anti black and anti immigration, we dont need the only other viable political party to act as republicans 2.0 to get support, biden was a strong supporter of transgender and gay americans and won the most votes in american history, its the candidates and the environment. When mitt romney lost the election to obama people were saying the conservatives have to let go off their tough stance on social policy issues , yet trump won being further extreme on social issues than romney was, its about the enviroment

The biggest issue now outside climate of course, is addressing people's material needs properly and both parties have failed here. Biden did well on part because the previous candidacy ain't done shyt from contraversry. This shyt is going to happen again. That party over there, need to buckle up. They don't need to change their stance, they need to actually do shyt & be ballsy.

There's no real evidence that this hurt democrats. It wasn't mentioned in any exit polls or polls. The economy (prices) was the dominant factor. Immigration too.
