I just thought given the platform wouldn't it be great (on top of all that character study malarkey) to do a movie about the wrestling "business". Or how the depths of a tortured soul could produce colourful characters. The politics, machinations, storylines but no, what we get is basically a story of a dead beat dad on the wrong side of 40 who happens to be an active wrestler. It was a missed opportunity and the film gets grossly overrated, the ending especially was a cheap trick..
