i usually find myself on the opposite end of certain discussions on here, because this is too much of a pro-WWF board.

WCW was easily better than the WWF in '95.
dismissing an entire organization because you dont like one angle, is another reason why people think im anti-WWF on here. people only act like that when it comes to other promotions. you'll never see the WWF dismissed because of one feud or storyline.

Damn! You actually ordered the Bodystars PPV? I've never come across anyone who watched that show before. shyt, I even had one of those descrambler boxes back then meaning I could watch every PPV for free and I still had no interest in watching that damn bodybuilding show and you actually paid to watch that shyt, the WWF would've had to pay ME to watch that LOL.

Were you a big Gary Strydom mark or something? LOL

ACTUALLY THE FALL WASNT ON CAMERA

IT WAS IN BETWEEN MATCHES DURING A BREAK.. AFTER THE BREAK JIM ROSS JUST ANNOUNCED WHAT HAPPENED. SHIIT WAS NUTS.

i thought they cut the cameras off when they realized he was about to fall??

why would he be gliding thru the arena with no camera turned on??

I use to have the original airing of that PPV on tape but it got lost in a old storage.

I went down a rabbit hole about this during a slow day at work not too long ago.

From what i remember reading about the incident, the guy that was supervising the drop said Owen was trying to adjust his cape while he was dangling. In the process, he hit the release.

And like you alluded to, the fall happened during a pre-recorded promo. If you were watching the PPV, all they showed was JR and the crowd while they were tending to Owen.

Apparently the wwf had certain cameras filming the ring at all times, so there is footage of the fall but for obvious reasons it will never see the light of day.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER IS SAYING HIS CAPE WAS PRESSING DOWN ON THE RELEASE AND WHEN OWEN PULLED THE CAPE IT COMPLETELY OPENED IT UP

The 2nd WBF PPV is fukking baffling and incredible from start to finish. Vince had bodybuilders in speedos out there doing action scenes out of Charles Bronson movies and shyt with pyro and everything :mjlol::mjlol:
