America missing out was for the best. America was coasting last couple of years

US would have probably performed horribly in this World Cup. Still relying on flabby n sick out of form Howard, Bradley, Dempsey, and Jozy

and its in Europe.... yup it would have been a wrap.

They were absolutely coasting the last few years. This year would have been ugly, probably would have rivaled 98. Hopefully none of those guys ever suit up again.

I missed the match while I was at work. Watched the highlights just now.

Same old Saudi. No athleticism (for lack of a better word)...waa caato bis lol....no tactics. Amateur hour.

They hold the record for worst world cup loss for a reason

I maintain they’re not the worst country to ever play in the tournament lol. They’ve had many years they didn’t embarrass themselves (1998, 2006) and they made knockout stage in 1994. Countless decent countries haven’t done that. I think their main problem is fitness levels - they have decent touch on the ball but Saudi league’s pace is nowhere near the level played anywhere in Europe. They also never can maintain continuity in coaching. The current Australia coach qualified them to the World Cup ( ahead of Australia)and they let him go right after.
