England had a nice tournament they should be proud, but there is still work to be done. How many goals have they scored in open play? two???

Im ready to see some of these young buls.. Foden, Sessegnon,Sancho and Mount. Hopefully Chelsea gives Mount some games this season, but who am I kidding :stopitslime:

So after watching this why the hell is France the only one doing this. This video left more questions than answers. Is it really that hard to setup football camps in a country? Why can't countries with huge diversity pools do this? Ie Canada, America, England. Watched this and its mind numbing easy to duplicate why has no other country though of this.

Well I understand why American isnt doing it but the other countries.

Other countries have them but the club system is used as a talent developmental pool to just as great effectiveness. It's not every class out of the French academy that does this well, there was their 87 (born in 1987)generation they thought would do what these guys are doing but they were quite dismal. Barcelona had its own 87 generation in Messi, Pique,Cesc,Busquets in and around that time and they were a cornerstone of a dominant Barca team and went on to win a World Cup and a Euro. France has more players in the World Cup because one of the big changes that happened was that FIFA allowed players who represented a country in age group tournaments like Under 17, Under 19 etc to represent a different country. It opened the floodgates for countries such as Algeria and Morocco. I bet the numbers are always boosted when Maghreb countries are in the World Cup because they make the use of French trained players more than anyone. Brazil has had a few players like Costa,Deco and Senna who have represented other countries but that was probably a function of their national association set up. For countries with good league system it is easier to do it through the club than the country. Beckham's generation is known as class of 92 and they were quite successful for the club.
