Letting him walk is stupid. He’s still All Star caliber and individually having his best season in years.

The bigger fact is where would he have walked to? The teams that had cap room he wasn’t going to (DET, SA, etc). He admitted it on Arenas podcast!

What was stupid was not negotiating. They gave him EVERYTHING.

A no trade clause was stupid.

With that said, if he decides to want out, it’s still early in the contract this season and next season that you can trade it.

KP was a good trade.

They gave Dinwiddie nearly $20M per year and Bertans about $18M per year. They actually saved money trading for KP after giving bad contracts

This is what happens when you can’t draft.

Otto Porter was the last starter you drafted. Beal is your only all star drafted since 2012 and you kept him on max deals 3 times now. Credit to him for maxing his talent to where he is now.

Davis was officially a bust in SL. Probably right there with Adrian Payne as one of the worst picks.
