Would you say your new perspective is to not be a crash dummy for someone who may not have the same energy for you?I'm not going against what you hi-lighted, but it made me think about something an elder co-worker asked me when I shared a similar story with him...may he rest in peace. An old girl friend had waited until we got home from a soul food carryout, to tell me some dude rubbed up against her ass. I was ready to go right back out the door to that joint, and do something much worse than what Will Smith did. Not to go into detail, she talked me out of it.
When I shared this situation the next day with the elder, he asked me, "Would she have done the same thing for you?". Not saying a dude gonna be allowed to touch my girl for now on, but it changed my whole perspective on these situations.
Although being told not to, I’ve seen women stand up for their man verbally. Raising hell and demanding answers for their boyfriend/husband. Russell Westbrook’s wife vs Skip Bayless is a perfect example.
