Some of you are acting like you have never been in a group before. Will laughing for less than 5 seconds means nothing.

People tend to laugh along before processing a joke. People tend to laugh along uncomfortably.

I have had to check someone before. Everyone was laughing along as he went on a drunken rant but it was uncomfortable. I was hesitant to step I'm because I didn't know if it was something the target of his rant would be cool with. When I found out she wasn't cool with it, I squashed things.

I didn't hit him, but if it was my sister I would have.

The point is that you need to make allowances for how people process things in the moment.

I need you understand how long 5 seconds is to be laughing bruh. And that wasn’t a “uncomfortable laugh” from him. Y’all have to move off that notion. It was funny to him until he saw it bothered his wife and she gave him that “disappointed in you for laughing too” look. That was the catalyst to this altercation, not the joke. We know this because Will didn’t go on stage when the joke was made, he went up there after Jada was mad. If HE was bothered by it then he wouldn’t have laughed and it wouldn’t have mattered if Jada was mad or laughing too. If I think it’s disrespectful to my wife, I’m not laughing or waiting to see how she feels before I do something. It shouldn’t matter

And did YOU yourself laugh at that joke for 5 seconds the person made? If you didn’t then it isn’t the same situation. Maybe it does take some people a long time to work the courage up to do something but that in itself is a problem. People tend to not react because of THAT reason. Not processing. But it can be either or both.
