This - people claiming the Academy orchestrated it are clueless to the fact that this one moment sucked all the oxygen out of the room and killed the buzz for every single film that was supposed to get its shine that night. Even Smith's own Richard Williams biopic that he produced and his Best Actor win for starring in it is hardly being talked about like it would (his first oscar ever and only the 5th Black man to win!) because the attention is on his fukk-up instead.
