You're right. They make fun of celebrities. Not the celebrity's wife.
And with that being said... I notice that y'all don't want to discuss the fact that Chris Rock made a comment about a white celeb and his white celeb wife right before the comment about Jada. But his comments about the white celeb couple were tasteful and respectful.
The second he went to talk about Will and Jada, a black couple, he got disrespectful by trying to talk about her appearance.
Jada Pickett Smith IS a celebrity, you dumb fukk. She's been in TV, film, currently hosting her own show for fukks sake! She is a public person, a celebrity, and therefore open to being the target of any jokes at that venue. She's her own person, with her own career, not just the wife of some celebrity.
Tastefulness and respectfulness is completely subjective, and merely commenting on a celebrity's appearance in a teasing way doesn't make a joke either of those things. Rock really has no quams about talking about the appearace of a lot of white/latino/asian women in his comedy. Stop it with this "protect black women" horseshyt.
