the opposite is even worst

it means he's emotionally unstable and unhinged, unable to control himself

which is something i don't believe

Will too deep into that Yoga/Meditation/Buddha life to do some stupid like that based on emotion.

He's a talented actor and him ACTING in front of the best actors in the world that makes more sense imo.

if he was gonna wild out on somebody it would be the lil dude that smashed his wife.

Will isn't that type of person and yall drank the kool aid, which was Will and Rock's plan all along i guess

Chris was probably willing to make it look like he took an L to make a fellow breh look good after the recent stuff he's been through with the wife sitation

like a good friend is supposed to

what nikka gets smacked and doesn't hold their face or exhibit any signs of pain?

You said all this
.. and all you had to do was read the first few chapters of his book and you will understand exactly why he did this.

If you're reading between the lines Will really did nothing but embarrass himself. On principle I ain't mad at Will but the joke was light and he overreacted. This wasn't about protecting his wife IMO, it was more about male ego...throw in everything we've seen with his marriage over the last couple of years and this looks more like an emotional outburst.

In a weird way I think the way the Rock handled it was kinda G. Rock could have fought back or really lit his ass up with the jokes but he showed incredible restraint and kept it moving. Y'all might say he's scared or p*ssy but I think dude really just brushed it off because he realized it was deeper than the joke and understood it didn't require a nasty reaction.

imagine getting props about continuing to joke After getting the shyt slapped out of you

Yall keep saying Rock could have did this or did that, but Rock did what Rock would do.

Rock was SHOOK. Looking off camera at producers cause he was shook as hell and didn't know what to do next.

This revisionist history yall writing in this thread is ridiculous.

Rock ain't a brawler and it's probably been so long since he got touched that he didn't know WHAT to do.

There was no comeback jokes. There was no fighting back.

Will literally slapped that nikka back into last year.

I posted Chris Rock's comments on the matter

Dunno why people are trying to spin this as him being the bigger man. He recognised that he went into the wrong zone and retreated.

I wonder why Black Lives Matter is so quiet? Oh I forgot it wasn't a white actor/cop who assaulted Mr. Rock! So it doesn't fit their agenda. #AllLivesMatter :mjpls:

He’s a legend goofy. His career is already certified. :mjlol:
He's not a legend, he is a former a lister who keeps turning out mediocre movies, hasn't had a real success in ten years and who got turned into a laughin stock because his wife keeps airing out their Personal business. He's this close to being a has been. He's at a crossroad, somewhere between where John Travolta was before he did Pulp Fiction and where Tom Cruise was after he jumped up and down on Oprahs couch. So he desperately needed that Oscar win to reinvent his career and get to where Denzel and Morgan Freeman are in order to prevent it from going down the drain and being forced to do straight to Netflix Bad Boys and Men in Black sequels.

You really think a comedian of Rock's pedigree had no ammo for that situation? You didn't see the wheels turning in his head with the "I could..." that he muttered then decided to move on?

You can say he was shook, and there's probably some truth to that, but it was a situation that just wasn't worth fighting over. Just my opinion.

I think a comedian of Chris Rocks caliber was literally in shock and had nothing in that moment.
