The loud slap sound (I thought someone hit a sound effect), the way Rock rolled with it making it seem like he was expecting it, the way Will just walked away without looking back, and also the fact it looked like Will was smiling and holding back a laugh walking off the stage. I was sure it was staged until seeing the longer uncensored video and how thrown off Rock was after.

It was weird Will laughed at the initial joke, walked up and slapped Chris Rock, laughed as he walked back to his seat, then he started cursing

Jada has failed Will Smith as a wife. Years of publicly dragging his name in the mud led to this reaction. She emasculated him and caused the public to make him the butt of jokes for years. He knows Jada doesn't respect him and letting the joke slide would have been just another justification in her mind to keep disrespecting him in public. She has him completely wrapped around her finger and she is toxic.

Its kind of ironic how Will defended her honor but Jada couldn't do the same for all these years. It really speaks to the power dynamics in their marriage. She can do NO wrong. Will is always at "fault". She has all the typical traits of a narcissist. I get the feeling Will is constantly trying to prove himself worthy to Jada and his family. When in actuality its them who should show gratitude for their fathers accomplishments and his ability to provide them with the comfortable lifestyle they enjoy.
