The celebrity world operates under a completely set of rules and circumstances compared to our lives. So it's disingenuous to try and compare the two. The Oscars was already decided, so that situation wasn't going to change anything about it all. I never said that it was going to be a great stain on his legacy, but you'd be naive as hell if you think that the powers at be that run that Hollywood will forget that situation.

I also never said he shouldn't protect his wife. What I said was that on live television that wasn't the time or place to handle that. The celebrity world isn't real life so don't try and compare to the two.
