I know I am late on this, but I always would notice film audio engineers reusing this scream sound in movies. It was almost like a running gag. The first film I saw it in was Return of the Jedi, Batman Returns Toy Story, and the 5th Element and a few other films. I finally decided to research "The Wilhelm" scream, and that shyt has been used in over 200 films

I used to feel the same way before I found out that it pretty much a gag to use it in films now... I would hear it and be like

"They really couldn't find another scream sound?"


I think the worst is the Children laughing and playing sound that is in EVERY fukking movie and TV show...
