I'm cynical, so I can't even feel any ounce of outrage. It's actually kind of hilarious. Black folks failed to gatekeep cuz a dollar is worth more than protecting the culture.
MESSAGE

HIPHOP has messed up multiple generations at this point, but we haven’t come to that realization as a community. We were sold out by some dudes who made money presenting a horrible image of themselves and their people.

Honestly, black people as a collective need to "come out" of that word:

Despite black people supposedly "taking back' the word, it's still an extremely insulting word to some, specifically those of you who IDENTIFY with the word.

Generally speaking, a "n1gga" is a subhuman. The lowest on the totem pole in society. Nobody respects or want to be around "n1ggas" and yet a segment of society chooses to call themselves that degrading and dehumanizing word. It's truly fascinating when you think about it.

In my world... ANYBODY of any race can be a "n1gga" if they choose to be. I'm personally not a "n1gga" because I don't identify with the word. The word doesn't hurt or offend me.

I wouldn't be mad one bit if the rest of the world became the new "n1ggas", while black people moved on and no longer identified with the word.

The crazy thing about that tho is if black people stopping saying it....the rest of the world would too (except for the hardcore racist).

It would no longer be "cool" to degrade yourself.

It's always amusing when people act surprised about things like this. I wish people could get it through their thick skulls: THE N WORD HAS BECOME A GLOBAL PHENOMENON USED BY PEOPLE OF ALL RACES BECAUSE IT WAS GLAMORIZED IN RAP MUSIC FOR THE PAST 30 OR SO YEARS.

As a result, kids in some town in Denmark likely use it with their friends because it's "cool". Asians, Latinos, whoever use it amongst themselves and around their accepting black friends because they've been given "permission" by the "culture". These same people, of course, wouldn't really go for it if people "term of endearment"ed their slurs.

But hey, black people are the coolest, and we set the trends so just sit back, relax and accept it because it's not going away.

This is something that is our fault and it’s too late to turn back 🤷🏾‍♀️

And the sad thing as upset as we may be, we have no actual control so we can’t stop/change this. I had the weird experience of seeing a sea of whites saying the “n word” at rap concerts and I was so bothered…but the men on stage weren’t bothered by a thing, so what I thought certainly didn’t matter.

It is what it is at this point. The elders tried to stop this mess back in the day when hiphop was getting more popular/powerful and the young people back then (Gen X ?) didn’t get it.

Yeah, like I've said before - it's Pandora's Box. Once it was open, and all the bad shyt went into the world there was no putting it back in. We accepted that the n word was acceptable to say 100x a song, didn't consider the impact it would have globally and now some want to cry foul. But reality doesn't work like that. Can't put the toothpaste back in the tube. I was at a bar, and this white chick who was trying to flirt with me actually said it and I was like wtf and then she talked about how she's from Brooklyn and her friends don't mind and blah blah blah and I was like that's cool but I'm not your friends and I don't like that being used around me. She apologized, and the thing is she definitely didn't mean it in a disrespectful way (how crazy is it that I can type a white person didn't mean the n word in a disrespectful way, hahaha) but it's been so normalized now that it's just another word to a lot of people. But I've just accepted that the only thing I can do is control who uses it in my presence.

This is our own fault.

Black people should've heavily pushed against the use of this word in rap songs when rappers started using it like candy in the early 90's.

But back then rap was untouchable. The few elders that try to talk abut those issues were laughed out the building. Rappers could do no wrong.

Here we are.

This shyt is the future once the technology improves to a point you could never tell the difference.

Actors/Actresses will be replaced eventually too. Imagine 200 years from now, they will probably still put out movies with Tom Cruise but it will be completely AI generated.

I dont like removing the humanity from art personally but it's such an easy decision for a corporation to make and more of them will as the tech continues to improve.

Writers will go extinct as well.

:manny: U see how he got a co signed from a rapper..typical move because he now knows gunna fan base and even other nikkas will think this is cute and something to jump onto….

Probably see a Megan the stallion collab with her twerkin on that AI

Let a black man create something similar and rappers will want that nikka head

White people know how to get in and pocket off of nikkas and take that money for their own community and children education
DAMN :dead::dead:

Some people may call you preachy, but I think you're right. it's time to bury the N-word

Yep.

The line between what is real is what is not real will be totally blurred like never before in the History of Mankind. The Age of Confusion. Demonic. :demonic:
