it's a GOOD album from first impression... perhaps not great, but solid enough. only a few throwaways

i see a lot of people fielding the MJ comparisons more and more... aside from the voice, i think that the weeknd has pigeon-holed himself with his musical penmanship to the point where it's mildly repetitive now. MJ was wayyyy more versatile in this regard

. but it seems he's trying to expand his musical themes a little with this and the last album.

The more I listen the less I enjoy. Its acceptable but just really generic and uninspired. Too many people have set the bar high this year(Bruno, Ocean, Soulange, Paak, PND)

it's kind of funny though..I'm a legend I guess. Daft Punk were like we heard your music and you are amazing. I don't take compliments but for them to say that I was surprised. It goes way back when I was with Johnny J and pac. He asked me to make him a song. Now I'm going off on tangents. Enjoy the album.
