unless u actually like that type of music, then ok.

I like all music. So from a musical standpoint i like these songs but if someone is majority hip hop (even tho I'm a hip hop head) listener then i can see why they wouldn't like these songs. I wouldn't call it cac music because these songs still sound very black but the production is definitely different.

I am late hearing this....I fukk with it, I really like the production and the hook, some of the lyrics are a little rough, sloppy, and I am never really compelled when Weeknd goes into his cars or money.....If the lyrics cut a little deeper and darker, then it would be a flawless, or nearly so track, if not exactly setting any new precedent.....As it is, it's a strong first single, I agree, it's too on the nose, but often some of his work like this is, as are the music videos....Few dope 90's references too. The Legends of The Fall name drop....
