I have a feeling he's not going back to Trilogy just because he's rockin the same cut or killing off palm tree head. I feel like this album will be different than Trilogy, KL and Beauty.
People forget he wanted to be a pop star all along. It was his plan, he laid it out on Rolling Stone on his 2nd mixtape. Idk why people get upset. But I do think he's completely gravitating away from Beauty but I don't think he's doing anything related to Trilogy either

I have to agree with that cac @Hammer. Dude went from this moody, mysterious dude who made interesting music to this generic pop star. He's like a slightly darker version of Jason Derulo. I know he's fanatic male fans will "he's getting money blah blah" That's cool no ones hating but his artistic integrity is shyt. And I feel his past was nothing more then a gimmick

Then the whole going pop thing, just seems so forced, you can still sell a lot of records while sticking to your roots, ask Frank, ask Kendrick.
Hopefully the rest of the album is good.

...The Hills, Tell Your Friends and Can't Feel My Face Video is an infinite loop....
The Hills is about Abel's descent into the mainstream.
Can't Feel My Face is about his baptism as the chosen one.
Tell Your Friends is about his conquering of the Pop world....
He leaves the club after he is anointed, the gets in the car and it crashes and goes to hell, then he comes back and hunts down the Devil...and kills him and his old self and drives off...but he's destined to do it again...since he gets back in the same car...
It's an infinite loop...meaning that he is always gonna be Pop and he's always gonna kill himself..(reinvent himself).
Starboy video is just him reinventing himself...
So instead the kinky haired weirdo, he's a Starboy, he's a leaner, sleeker Weeknd.
Think of Starboy as his version of Bad...introducing himself as this confident bad ass.

I'm literally a day one fan remember back on sohh when he first dropped and people were saying he's bubbling. Am I completely thrilled with bbtm naw but nikka was homeless at one point and dropped gems for free. I actually ranked kiss land ahead of everything but Hob but the general populace panned it and that whole album other than wanderlust was pure darkness. So what y'all nikkas really want at the end of the day
