which is the same year/album he was able perform at the super bowl

Exactly. Let’s also not forget….the theatrics, the prosthetics, the promo….it was all to build a spectacle he was going to perform for hundreds of thousands live…people conveniently seem to forget that he had a major concert tour delayed twice…..the anticipation for this stadium tour is arguably greater than the hype behind the ones they got cancelled/pushed back.

But the last album was kinda dope though, although not fully my style with the synth, electro, pop, max martin stuff

dude is throwing all these resources into make up and prosthetics (like the last failed album marketing scheme) and it’s just falls flat.

And It’s like unless you are reeeeeeeeally into him and his music these days you have no fukkin idea what all of this shyt is about. I’m sure to him it has some meaning but enough is enough with the gimmicks.

Starboy is an alltime fav for me, still bump that shiit to this day. Didn't really get into his stuff prior to BBTM (but Kissland was a nice sag way into his more recent stuff).


Afterhours was, although well produced, I think SB was such a great album to me, it's successor didn't live up to the bar that was set with Starboy


But yeah, let's chill with the max martin/Stockman Aikman Waterman cookie cutter production.
