I kinda feel like his acting is on point. I mean what’s he suppose to be like? He’s still coming along as a character. We’re just now seeing his role come to life.

The ugly thing in my mind is it's another example of how stupid a lot of people are today. An actor playing a bad guy, antagonist, disturbed character etc does not mean the actor is also bad/disturbed/etc. He's playing a role. It's been really odd watching young Weeknd fans have a mental breakdown on twitter because Abel is playing a bad guy and they don't know how to...deal with it. Jesus christ what's wrong with these kids. It's like this is the culmination of decades of downplaying art in order to pump mindless #content to people. Why think critically about anything, it's either "content good" or "content bad" depending on the identity or moralist views you subscribe to. Yikes.
I think this is why actors like the rock don't wanna play bad guys (anymore)...I think he did say it would damage his "wholesome" brand

I'm actually surprised people really think an actor acting is their real life persona. Guess I gave people too much credit

The Weekend is not american
He’s Canadian :mjlol:
Doesn't matter, he still a non actor getting roles in american cinema
we constantly cast popular singers and rappers in shyt, instead of real actors.
Larenz Tatz sitting at home getting zero work, meanwhile we cast The Weeknd in shyt, then complain when a major role comes that they want a serious actor for goes to some bloke.
