I've been listening to this album since it leaked and it really impressed me IMO. When he dropped the singles I didn't blast the hell out of em like everybody else did (with the exception of Worth It)

So when I listened to the whole album it sounded fresh as hell. And I know it's old to Yall but The Hills has me like

There isn't one skippable track on this album IMO and he found the perfect balance on who he was on the Trilogy and the mainstream sound.

This is WAAAAY better then Kiss Land.

Definitely my favorite song off this album

Side note: I don't get the criticism of dude selling out and going pop as if dude hasn't been making heavily Pop influenced Music from the beginning. Anyone making that claim obviously hasn't listened to some New wave or euro pop music.

People get so caught up on an artist making a certain sound that when an influence within said sound becomes more apparent they consider them a sell out or just say "so and so went __" so? Yeah obviously this album isn't as dark sounding as his previous shyt but does that make it necessarily bad? No. It's still great music so who the fukk cares

I've never listened to Kiss Land much so BBTM is a return to form for me, much better than I ever expected. Going to jump into Kiss Land soon.

He didn't sell out. That's a lazy criticism of anyone.

But to say this isn't the worse project he has released is a lie

Earned it has 157 million
The hills has 149 million

Looking at the views for his kiss land videos and theyre all like under 10 million. Kinda crazy how much hes blown up.

It's like people completely ignored Kiss Land outside of day one fans. In fact dude was still doing shows in theatre venues after KL dropped now he's doing MSG.

Just picked this up at Best Buy this morning, right now at #5 The Hills, not bad so far. I'm late as hell, didn't realize Tell Your Friends video drops the intro of Real Life into it towards the end. I thought the song would have ran through similar to the video, cause the change up sounded slick as fukk. I'm already feeling this way more than Kissland. The original mixtapes will always be my favs, Thursday and HOB were just raw.

Its also interesting to look at king of the fall and often.

Both released at the same time
Often 70 million+ views
King of the fall 20 million+ views

Seems thats probably why they left the song off and went in a different direction for the album.king of the fall got 0 traction as a song and only appealled to his niche fan base.

At the time I always thought it was odd how they just dropped 2 singles with videos and being pushed with no album in sight. Looks like they were feelers for the market.
