I wouldn't consider myself an r&b head so you might be right, but I'm just saying cuz the Weeknd's character just seems impenetrable and then the type of production other mofos be on isn't quite like this. So the first part yea probably cuz I haven't been listening to much r&b.

My main point is sometimes listening the way he's on the prowl and is almost like a ghostly predator shadow in the night almost feels cartoonish at times. It's more of an observation and wondering about the future of him as an artist rather than a complaint cuz I'm still a fan and think fam makes amazing music.

I'm mixed on this. I think Kissland had better individual songs and was more cohesive. "Live For" was jarring and I don't know how "Wanderlust" didn't become big. I wasn't expecting Trilogy 2.0 but this feels different. It's on me that I expected more "King of The Fall" and less tracks like "Earned It" from the album. He's living his dreams out but this album isn't for me.

Felt out of place following "Belong the World" and "Love In The Sky", It's not bad song per say, its just between way better songs. The Drake verse felt like a throwaway also.

Obviously his music isn't for you then.

Because his first 3 mixtapes for me are some of the best music Ive heard in my life.

I used to find excuses to go drive on the highway at night to zone out to his music. I havent listened to anything as much as I listened to those.

You either connect with it or you dont. Obviously you dont.
