That’s not what this thread is about. Just because he’s hella talented don’t mean he can’t be influenced by someone else
But what about the song makes one think of the weekend
He wasn't the first to sing in falsetto

Usher has more talent in his pinky than Weeknd possesses in his entire being
It wasn't Usher's typical "sound" but it damn sure wasn't Weeknd's sound either. There is nothing from Abel's early music that sounds like 'Climax'. Nothing on HOB sounds like 'Climax'. Like not even close. I'm talking sound, content, arrangement...everything. This is one of the dumbest things I've read.I can see this, usher was all over the place sonically at that time. Climax definitely wasnt his sound.
Also the fact it was produced by diplo is suspect he’s notorious for ‘borrowing’ sounds
Right. Usher was trying to jump on the EDM wave...which was peaking (and starting to tail off) during that time. Weeknd wasn't even making that kind of music.he's tryna spark some shyt.
Climax w/ Diplo was a continuation of an electronic dance wave that started when Usher hopped on David Guetta's "Without You." In 2011. That had nothin to do with Weeknd.

Billboard put up a click bait article
Weeknd was clearly tripping at the time only similar thing to weeknds sound at the time and usher’s climax song was the hook... and that barely had similarities
Abel end up apologizing and admitted he was tripping ...this is a non story
Up the threadUsher did bite The Weeknd for that song
everyone agreed too when it was out
Lol he need to calm down and humble himself
