Fukk your corny debates
lol...okay. I've showed that...you are just copping corny ass pleas, anybody with a half a brain can see the connection with freidman and friedman's criticism is that it did not go far enough
1. A form of the EITC existed 50 years earlier when Milton Friedman was a teenager.
2. The EITC was crafted by a Democratic Senator and opposed mostly by the right when it was first implemented.
3. The EITC was opposed by Milton Friedman himself when it was first implemented.
4. Milton Friedman's vision was a negative income tax that should be progressive and for all people at the lower end of the income spectrum, including those who were unemployed, and not issued through the tax code, that would replace all means-tested social welfare programs.
5. It's a program of government intervention and income redistribution, and an obvious distortion of the free market.
And you just keep repeating these simplistic, unnuanced, empty platitudes about how the EITC is a "free market/capitalist Milton Friedman idea."
Ice up, son.
