I'd say its worth $30 so far. I wouldn't pay $70 though.

Not sure whats going on here. I'm a little confused.
Why buy the disc for $30 all five episodes are on PSN & XBL for $5 an episode aka $25
Why drive to a store to buy something you could download for cheaper?
Do you NOT have your system connected online???

I remember not too long ago on sohh, we was having our debates about digital downloads and nikkaz was trippin
What ever happened to those download limits?

I'm just waiting for somebody to run in here and be like "Man, I only get 250gb a month" like if that isn't sufficient for 99.9% of the people out there
And if you had to have unlimited, your cell phones these days do that
So then, what else besides the cases?
I recall them saying "The books, I like to read them.. look at em.. caress em :mjpls:"

Most games don't even come with books anymore :bryan:

NOW did that one guy who posted the pic buy the $70 version?
So did he basically pay $45 for that walking dead book thingy?

yep. they wanted to make it like real life where you have to make a rushed decision. sometimes you kinda panic and might make the wrong decision
You're choosing fixed paths here. In real life I could sit Clem down and tell her we need a cover story for when we meet people and then on the farm that's worked out. In the game either you lie on the spot and make it up as you go along and hope she backs you up or you tell the truth.

Basically in this game you can't really think anything through you can only decide on the spot.

I usually don't download retail games. I like having the physical game. Like being able to sell it if I get done and never wanna play it again. The only retail games I buy online are PSP games on the Vita cause you don't have a choice or other games you have to buy digitally.

well obviously it's just a game mechanic with limited choices, and not 'real life'. as far as how it works in conversations, I think the idea is that you have to answer quick and not sit there like "uh....uh...". also one of the choices is usually 'doing nothing'

but not all decisions are timed, and some have a rather slow timer, so don't try to frame it like "you can only decide on the spot"

Thats the idea. The developers wanted to make it as real as possible
Basically if you are living the situation, shyt gets thrown at you and you have to make a choice right then and there. Thats part of the charm, and it was intended that way. Children will be like "I want to explore every possible choice" while smart adults will just enjoy the ride. And if they really liked it, they'll enjoy it a second time, and see whats good with a few other choices before getting bored and moving onto the next game :hula:

Well I'm not suggesting you should NOW since HDD space isn't as high as I'd like it to be YET. But we almost there. As for rather having a physical copy? :rudy:
Thats old skool primitive though bruh. I peeped your excuse about wanting to resell? So you'd overpay for a game everybody downloaded in hopes of selling it for what? Ain't nobody giving you more than $15 for it. And it'll be discounted quickly because the retail copies are not gonna sell like that. Its only sold out now cuz they only made a handful in the first place. But I'm off topic a lil bit. The point is this game is a digital game put on a disc. Because of this, its not the type of game that would EVER have a high resale value. They got some XBLA games on disc too, they not selling thru the roof

It's a video game it can't be as real as possible because its linear. This is more like pick something in 7 seconds a, b, c, or d. Then at a later point in the game you're stuck on linear path a because you chose that and you didn't really know you chose that.

Sure in real life you're forced to make decisions on the fly at a moments notice but even post decision you can still try to influence people and the direction things go.

Like early in the game I was forced to choose to save one of two people I didn't even think about it, just reacted on the spot. In Mass Effect I could consider Kaiden or Ashley. Here it's you got 5 seconds save somebody and later down the line there's gonna be repercussions.

I guess if you like to replay games that's fine cause you'll pick all paths over time but I'm the one and done type.
