:ohhh: how do you know some much?

Current on the Comics + Current on the Show + Played the Video Games :manny:

Plus I like zombies so I watch other zombie stuff. Some stuff, like determining the nature of the zombies (whether they hunt by sight, hearing, smell, etc) I knew to look for from watching other high-tier zombie shows like High School of the Dead.

On HSotD they intentionally determine this. On TWD you can determine it as a viewer, over time, but the characters on the show aren't smart enough to spend any time researching it.

But once you have seen something, like HSotD, I know what I am looking for in terms of how the zombies hunt... same way when survivors show up you automatically know to wonder if they are bitten. Even before they explain about bites in season 1, you understand based on having seen other zombie stuff that it is likely a thing. So the more zombie stuff you watch, the more you understand what to do and not to do, and what you can and can't do.
If you try and pick up a mammal from behind or by the tail it will react harshly and violently, but you can pick up a snake by the tail and it basically ignores you cause you are out of its vision/hearing/smell. But you would have to have seen Crocodile Hunter or Survivorman or something to know that. See, but once you have the info, watching anything else with a snake in it and you have a better understanding of the danger cause you know how snakes hunt and attack in general.

The zombies on Walking Dead can't see too well, which is why Michonne could where a hood and walk amongst them with her two chained up zombie pets. She didn't need to even use the zombie muck coating, which indicates they can't smell very good either. The eyes and nose are more likely to be damaged, rot, and decay with death than they ear canal which is internal. They can smell a little bit if you are right next to them (shown when rick was covered in zombie guts and it started to rain and wash it off while he was in a crowd of zombies way back in the earliar seasons)... but mostly their smell is useless and they likely see large blurry shapes.

The tv show has pulled away from zombies being the main threat, humans are now. But when the whisperers show up in a season or two, the focus goes back on the zombies again, so the show will give you more details then once they introduce Alpha (The Whisperers leader).

People were speculating if they were still gonna do the story from the comics where the saviors take a woman hostage, then return her with a sack over her head, only to reveal that she's already dead and turned as she bites a member of Alexandria and all hell breaks loose.

So they already did that scene in Fear the Walking Dead, so I dont know if they'd do it again in the main show. But if they do, that might be how Sasha goes out (either as the hostage or the person the hostage bites.)
Makes sense
In the comic Negan confused Holly for Andrea when she was captured, so I could see the show having him confuse Sasha for Michonne :ehh:
