@notPsychosiz tell me everything about the black dude and his tyga

Well...

What they have shown on the show is fairly accurate, except the characters he's interacting with have been switched around... which kind of make his decesions seem dumber than they are.

He is supposed to be obsessed with Michonne (not Carol).

He reveals all that stuff to Michonne (not Carol) cause Michonne is young, hot, fit, black, and the best swordsman he has ever seen. So he believes its fate that a black swordswoman shows up to be his kingsguard and queen, since he has been living as a black king.

He is a solid dude in the comics... I like him.

He's not a great fighter (notice he has another dude disable the walker then Zeke moves in to execute it) but he isn't a bytch either. He'll go on runs and missions and fight. Even though he has a sword and a scepter his main weapon is Sheeva. Its an autonomous killing machine.
In the comics when he is syrrounded by a couple knights, Michonne, and Sheeva he is basically invulnerable. So despite not being a great fighter he always is on the front lines to give courage to the others (like a real king). He is a good leader. People trust/expect Rick and his group to do things in Alexandrea, but at the Kingdom Zeke inspires the people to do things themselves... and he'll be right there with them, leading them on.

Take for example how much time/energy he is putting into that boy on the show. Getting him personally trained by Morgan, walking him through what has to be done on missions. He didn't get upset when the boy messed up attacking the walker, and he indicated to Morgan the boy is no good with guns and swords... so that indicates he has already tried and failed several times to train him unseuccessfully but has not given up on him.

Rick would of written that kid off as weak and re-assigned him to a safe job.
Its very different leadership styles.

Is this tainted pig meat part of the comic?

No... but its a good idea.

We have yet to see what happens when you eat zombies, because in the comics everyone that does eat zombies ends up murdered before we get an idea of what (if any) that does to their body. For example, the hunters that eat bob's leg after he was bitten. Thats where the phrase Tainted Meat comes from. He wont stop yelling it in the comic and laughing at them for eating him. Classic.

But because they are all murderded we never get a resolution with that.

I know some animals eat the zombies and seem to be relatively fine.
Dogs (and also pigs on the show) and even the tiger, Sheeva.

Since we have not seen any zombie animals it is likely that the virus/affliction cannot be contracted except by humans.

Neegan mentions in the comics that you can force-turn a living person that is not bitten by directly inserting zombie blood into their body.
He keeps a giant ass knife on him coating in roating zombie fluids, so the people he stabs turn later even if he cant finish them durring the fight.

As a battle strategist he is top notch.

Episode 3 spoilers

1. How is Daryl treated at the Sanctuary?

For the most part, Daryl's treated like crap and is tortured. He's kept in a room the size of a closet with no light. Music blares 24/7, so he really can't sleep. And, he's fed dog-food sandwiches.

2. Does Daryl try to escape? If so, how?

Yes, 1 time. They intentionally leave the door to his cell unlocked, and he tries to escape then. Turns out it was only a test and a part of Negan trying to break him.

3. What happens during the car chase?

There is no car chase in this episode (I know the scene you're talking about, but it's not in this episode).

4. Does anyone die? How?

Yes, 1 of Dwight's friends. His friend tries to escape & Dwight has to go after him. But, he refuses to go back and so, Dwight shoots him.

5. What can you tell us about any of the new characters in this episode?

"Fat Joey" is one of Negan's top lieutenants and is the one who leaves Daryl's cell door unlocked. Daryl, thinking that Joey is just fat and stupid, falls for it and ends up being punished once he's caught. The only other character besides Joey we see alot of in this episode is Sherry. Lots and lots of Sherry.

6. What do we learn about the Sanctuary?

They bake their own bread, have chickens and livestock, and it's very well-fortified. It is surrounded by a walker "fence" or "wall" very similar to what we saw at La Colonia on FTWD. The people who are defiant and killed by Negan and the Saviors become part of the "fence."

7. Do we learn anything about Dwight and how he ended up back at the Sanctuary?

Yes, we get the full story. He basically decided to go back on his own, and for the most part, still feels he made the right decision. The story is told in part by Sherry, and then, the rest is told by Negan.

8. Do we learn more about Dr. Carson and why he's at the Sanctuary?

Not much except he's definitely drinking the Negan Kool-Aid. He believes in Negan and trusts him.

9. Does Daryl eat dog food sandwiches?

Yes, at least until the very end. He throws the sandwich at Dwight in the final scenes of the episode.

Good look on this write-up, friend.

I haven't read any reviews or anything so I don't know what others are saying...but I actually liked Zeke. I feel like the episode did a good job at mirroring Carols emotions towards him with the audiences emotions towards him. I started out thinking "Another wack ass brother on this show....:snoop:" but by the end I was "This dude kinda ill in his own way...:leon:" I'm excited to see more of him, and I hope he doesn't die soon.

I'm saddened that they went with Michonne/Rick over Michonne/Zeke. I knew that they were supposed to be together in the comic but I didn't know that the relationship was contextualized under Black Royalty like that....:wow:

And I find it funny that, right before Carol started getting attention from all these brothers (Morgan, Zeke), they made sure to throw in a quick booty-call between her and that Alexandria cac whose name nobody knows. Shouldn't have smutted her our so close to her being in a situationship with Zeke.

To be fair though, speaking of Morgan, I've gotta admit, they have turned him around on me. After "Clear", it was hard as fukk for me to take seeing him turned into a docile, emasculated, philosopher type of character. Brother was locked in a cell like an animal and was civilized by a cac cheesemaker....:mjlol: But I'll admit that they seem to have had a plan for him. Rick fukkED UP with the whole Savior situation, he should have listened to Morgan and NEVER attacked that base without more information. And Carol, who was all gung-ho, bad-ass, don't value anyone's life...is now suffering from PTSD and can't even live around other people anymore. Morgan won....:yeshrug: Cacs need to think and philosophize a bit before they act....:lolbron:

I hope we get a good Negan/Morgan scene that doesn't result in Morgan's death.

Some set photos from the season finale that they are filming now :ehh:

It looks like the finale will prolly be when Negan does his second lineup at Alexandria and Jesus and the Kingdom interrupt at the last minute to attack the Saviors. Michonne being up there makes me think she will take Andrea's spot from the comics when she fights the Savior in the tower.
