Is this the same as the show?

My girl has been tryna get me to watch the show for a while now. I might break down and watch it off of these, if they are the same.

Let's not get so reactionary here. I love these Walking Dead games, but Mass Effect, is a much bigger series on a much bigger scale with dozens of more characters you interact with, and your decisions had to carry over 3 fairly long games and reverberate. I mean each of the Walking Dead episodes are 5 hours tops. Each Mass Effect game is 20-30 hours a piece, so let's just keep things in perspective.

I enjoyed the demo, but I think I'm gonna wait for all the episodes to drop before I buy them.
I was thinking the same thing. If they just sold this game in stores?
I'd cop no problem. Whats $5. But when its MSPT's, for some reason it feels like you spending more money??? I saw how many episodes they will have, and I instantly started counting up how much the total would cost. Then you know they gonna have some kind of bundle.
I tested out the demo last night, and I REALLY liked it. I'm just afraid the episodes will be too short. Are they??? If so, I'll wait til they all out so I don't have to wait MONTHS just to play thru the whole thing
But then again, my backlog is long as fukk. I probably play games in episodes anyway now that I think about it :sadbron:
don't think i forgot mutha fukka:heh:
We hear ya Jim Kelly, we hear ya

So because its a bigger game means its a better game :comeon:
Mass Effect is a great game, but this game will get to the point much faster. That carries positives & negatives, but that is really depending on the type of gamer you are

Not neccessarily, and I don't even disagree with you but the stuff and the decisions you have to make in Mass Effects, carrying them over 3 games, and trying to keep continuity intact over a much more epic saga is extremely difficult. Don't get me wrong what they did with the Walking Dead was extremely impressive especially considering the budget and timetable, but it's not at the same level.

I felt the game did a LOT of things better than Mass Effect, and the demo only last like what.. 10mins?
Mass Effect, that name is ironic. Because what your describing is the Mass Effect of them feeding you bullshyt over 3 games long.
They made it seem like your decisions mattered, but do they?
That was the idea, then they ported the game to the ps3 and they was like "Well... you can uh, watch a short video and then uh... uh, I guess you can Heavy Rain on Youtube your way through the first game :mjpls:

This game strikes a completely different nerve than Mass Effect could, and I'll tell you why.

Living in a dystopian world following some sort of cataclysmic event, where civilization is brought to it's very knees, is more tangible than the atmosphere Mass Effect creates. Worrying about how you can feed and protect friends and family after a disaster is more relatable than trying to decide the moral implications of the Salarians creating the geneophage, IMO.

Do decisions really matter? I don't know. But I'm hooked so far. It's also much more exciting than Heavy Rain, IMO, and I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Naw I see what you are saying but the creators of Mass Effect had a much harder job to do, I've done a couple of playthroughs as a paragon and rebel, there are definite differences and sets of stuff that open up to you on each side. You're decisions mattered, though it kinda mattered less by the final one admittedly. I'm just saying it's easy to focus on these aspects more in a DLC environment in a smaller game in a more specific environment, with less characters and a more concise story. Does it handle the choice aspect better, yes, I won't deny that. I'm just saying it's easier to do in this environment and I tempered my response to this game, respectively. I will say this perhaps this is the next level of morality in games perhaps.

Yes. I might start a new save just to be a dikk to Clementine. I want to see how that turns out.

how could you be a dikk to that sweet lil girl. she is one amazingly well developed and portrayed character, I actually feel attached an obligated to take care of her like my own. She is a great character. and tough too

I just hit the guide button so i can read all the responses in enough time to decide what i want to say. I dont like how positive, negative, or neutral responses arent assigned to a button. In mass effect the top choice is always paragon, and the bottom renegade. In this it switches up too much, still 10 out of 10 for me. I do wish the loading was more smooth so i wouldnt anticipate when something is about to happen, i want to be startled

:what:
I know that. I just want to play the game another way and see how things turn out. I might use another slave slot to be a dikk to Kenny and his family and see how it goes.
