Realistically, a lot of this is probably corporate overlap from the mergers (HR, legal, finance, marketing etc roles being redundant) but I'm not sure if even that can account for 1900 jobs being cut. That's quite an org redesign.
Hopefully Microsoft gives those folks a nice severance to land on their feet
