it is nowhere near as good as Angel, but if you can overlook the shyttier love storylines (especially in the 3rd season) it is solid. The vampire mythos and fights and all that is not bad.
U probably will enjoy it. I like both
If they just killed off Elena and Damon the show would be amazing

He is kinda right, Elena went from a decent female lead to a Bella from twilight type of idiot. Most people (like myself) watched this cuz it was a lot more better in comparison to twilight when it was dominating the new wave of vampire hype ... the last season, however, was so twilight-esque it was gag worthy. (the love story part, not the OG family part)
Damon was one of the gullyest characters but now dude comes off hella bytch made. He should either turn heel or stay good, not flipping off every other second for no reason.
I heard the show changed writers last season and the new person in charge is a woman who panders to the fans, which is why they threw in the stupid "bbbbut damon met her first" and all that random shyt.
