It really is amazing stuff. Cats must really be in some serious denial if they think we alone out here.

Random Space Fact:

The universe is huge, bet you already knew that. But, perhaps you didn’t know exactly how huge it really is. Consider the following facts:

Our sun is so big that if you hollowed it out, it would hold 1 million, 300 thousand of our earths.
There is a star called “Antares” that is so big that if you hollowed it out, it would hold 64 million of our suns.
A star in the constellation Hercules is so big that, if hollowed out, could hold 100 million “Antares” stars.
And the largest known star – Epsilon – is so big that, if hollowed out, would hold several million Hercules stars or 27 billion of our suns.

Bolded for effect. Can you imagine a sun 27 BILLION times larger than hour sun? I can barely even to begin to wrap my mind around that. Imagine a star so massive that there's a star forming around it as a planet would around a smaller star.:

And if we know of it it's certainly not anywhere near the biggest star of the hundreds of sextillions out there. More information for those who want it:

Think about how far away the sun is and how it can burn you and an object that is 27 billion times larger and you can't even feel its effects. Unfathable how far away it is...

Great site. I think about what's beyond the universe, like the universe is constantly expanding but what is it expanding into? What's in that "space"?

The universe is expanding at such a rate that at some point it has to collapse on itself right?

I always thought the universe just is. No beginning or end it just exist. If it did collapse what would be outside of it? Is the universe in side of something bigger than itself:leon:. If someone post an article that says yes it'd blow my fukkin mind.

Is every star the same as the sun? Like are they all made of the same thing? Are they all a big ball of fire like our sun?

LOL We dont even know all of what goes on in the oceans. :lolbron:

The universe is expanding probably millions of miles since you made that post but say it isn't what kind of force has the ability to keep the universe in a fixed position? I'd love to see some stats/articles about universe expansion.

LOL We dont even know all of what goes on in the oceans. :lolbron:

Say the Stars being made of gases, energy etc. whatever stars of made of and it has the energy/heat one millionth of our sun but it's still 27 billion times bigger than our sun and you can't feel a thing from it :wtf: the distance at best is mind boggling...

We don't even know the full depths of our planet/ocean but we believe we're alone in the universe?

Like in the film 'Dark City'?

I saw a documentary once where they mentioned blue stars that burn far more intensely than the regular yellow stars that are most commonly seen. It was said that if our sun was replaced with one the planet would be rendered baron because of it quite quickly. Imagine how far those things have to be from us in order for us to still be alive.

> downloaded Hubble Ultra Deep Field image in its highest resolution
> sees an estimated 10,000 galaxies visible in one image. almost every dot is a galaxy
> realizes that travelling at 150,000mph (the fastest recorded speed of any manmade object, the Helios space probe) it would take 11.6 billion years to travel between the galaxy we live in and the closet major galaxy, Andromeda
> travelling at the speed of the current fastest manned spacecraft it would take 72 billion years
> looks again at all those galaxies
> understands that the HUDF image covers an area that, when viewed from earth, comprises an area of the sky smaller than a 1 mm by 1 mm square of paper held 1 meter away

props i was able to follow until they hit the seventh dimension.

Would the tenth dimension be the universe or is the universe contained in these waves?
