Yeah, the whole concept that people need to be "deprogrammed" or disconnected from some "matrix" is juvenile stuff for angst-ridden white teenagers on some "fukk society dude!" shyt. It's an infant stage of understanding you're supposed to grow out of.

On a side note the Matrix was a great movie, but unfortunately it brought out the smartdumb nikka in a lot of people. The whole "brain in the jar" perception/reality thought experiment thing is nothing new or deep to anybody who with a decent education.

And of course K-Hippo, like other mediocre minds who fancy themselves possessing of a higher level of understanding than the masses always stroke their own ego by telling themselves and others that, as he does in this song. He casts himself in the role of the doctor "deprogramming" the patient because of course, he's like so enlightened!

He's not even subtle with it. He ends the song saying "Yes, I know that's why you're the students and I'm the master." :shaq2:

He basically said you're ignorant because you're "programmed" by mainstream rap music (which is a flimsy, lazy premise in the first place) and I am here to open your mind because I'm like really smart and stuff and I'm gonna make up a silly metaphorical story where I'm a doctor and you're a patient and use a horrible hook and an ear-grating delivery. :mjlol: Pretentious, self-aggrandizing, pseudointellectual...not impressed. It's designed to appeal to mental midgets like @The Ruler 09 who think they're smart because they watched some bullshyt conspiracy videos on youtube and listened to a Ras Kass album.

For real brother, respect for your real words. You worded it perfectly, it takes a certain BREED of fakeness and foul disgusting individual to disrespect a good brother like K-Rino who is a Hip Hop legend an pioneer, like why would you disrespect him for? Unless you are a despicable devilish scumbag. There is just no need, it's anti righteousness, this goes way beyond music, no-one has to like the music, they can even critique it if hey want, but when you start having disrespect for a brother like K-Rino, that won't be tolerated without a rebuttal, and I'm certain there would be a strong rebuttal shall we say if this was offline, but as it's online the real people got to represent. It isn't just even solely K-Rino, it's all Hip Hop pioneers and legends, like show some fukking respect. All these brothers and sisters allowed Hip Hop to thrive and flourish, they have given so much to us, and scarified for us, they paved the way, and what people gonna try do? shyt on them? For what purpose? To troll and bait someone on a internet forum? That is an example of no morals of principles, or care, concern of love for Hip Hop. I would never diss a legend and pioneer without merit like that, should have some dignity when speaking on them. If we want people to respect Hip Hop, we should start respecting the people who REALLY are Hip Hop, I do and so do others, but some just have careless unnecessary disrespect and hatred in their heart, it's not productive at all, it's counter productive because then the world looks at us fukked up, and disrespects us in the past, present and will do in the future, if one doesn't respect themselves how can they expect to receive respect from others?. Yes no doubt, intimidation again is the perfect accurate word, that's what it is, some peo hate realness, substance and power, they get shook and project it into warped bitterness.

Thanks bro, spot on...I respect what you been doing in this thread, posting his songs and albums. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. I dont expect many of you to actually listen because it takes a stand up individual to listen to and respect Rino's artistry but most of your posts make it clear that your lacking in that[/QUOTE]

40 pages in...absolutely convinced that The Beast, the ruler and this new poster dezert storm are the same person :comeon:

Their writing styles and tone are incredibly similar...this thread is fascinating, thought.

i dont mean to sound like a troll but....what does a rapper truely has to say with almost 40 albums?

I'm going to assume what I said is what you meant and answer based off that.

A true artist has an unlimited amount of stuff to say, firstly for instance battle tracks, there are infinite ways to use words, and impress with words, so you're going to be saying new things based off that for 1. Also there's no limitations to what an artist can talk about, any bit of knowledge, information, personal experience, imagination even can be put into song form. It's literally limitless, I was going to reply to this more in depth but was watching Arsenal get to Wembley again and got distracted :blessed:

But for example K-Rino, some of his topics include, but not limited too... N.O.I doctrine and beliefs, but in creative ways also such as Point Number 12 where he told the story of W.D Fard.

Creative stories based off imagination, he has such a huge list of diverse story tracks, which is imagination based on a multitude of topics.

Women, in many forms, hoes, uplifting tracks about women, humorous stories, love tracks etc...

Politics, which is a subject matter which consistently offers up new topics...

Pain, betrayal, suffering, the music industry, idealism/fantasy, racism, police brutality and injustice. Agents, amnesia, money, the hood, poverty, religion, for instance inaccurate information or inconsistencies in religion, South Park, respect, bootleggers, artistry, haters, ignorance, unity, economics, history, fake people, phoniness, people who use others where for monetary reasons or for something else, the state of the game, punchline type tracks, some more focused on multies, procrastination, life, death, greed, lust, concealing of inner thoughts, persistence in many areas, people in jail, for instance 1 song where he speaks on minority women in jail, releasing emotions.

I'd say subject wise he is 1 of the most diverse artists in Hip Hop history, he's covered a huge amount of areas and continues to innovate and do this.

For most true artists the subject matter is limitless, cause it's whatever you want to rhyme about, there's no conventions or rules, it's completely unrestricted, and that's 1 of the best things about Hip Hop in my opinion, can do whatever, and the creativity/content is endless...

And that's not even getting on to flows, rhyme styles etc....

Yeah, I guess that's the ambition for any artist that loves making music really. And on the contrary K-Rino's fan base simply seems to be growing and growing, I've been listening for over a decade, and it's even grown a lot in that time. Plus working with DJ Premier, Canibus, Scarface, Yukmouth, Keith Murray, Killiah Priest, Z-Ro, Trae The Truth, Bun B, Slim Thug, Devin The Dude etc would also help people on, as some of those have pretty hardcore fan bases with a core, so increases awareness working with artists like that.

[Intro]
See you in a million years
Longevity
I see you in a million years, that's if you're still here

[Verse 1]
Say, some of y'all just are arriving
So I'm obligated to familiarize you with where I've been
Subscribing to the sacrifice is usually the problem
Surviving and even thriving in the game is so conniving
The first thing that you should do, is make sure you
Study the history of artists who came before you
Their successes, their failures
See, there's a lesson in every message they tell you, don't let the stresses derail you
The next phase essentially, is finding your identity in the industry
Be patient cause it don't happen instantly
It takes a lot of long nights
Make sure that when you song write, the words correspond with your own life
Then you might appeal to all ages
You gotta maintain the same flame when the game evolves and changes
You can last or be a one-hit wonder
Make the choice between being a sprinter or a marathon runner

[Hook]
Longevity
It ain't about what people seeing now, it's about how long will you be around
Never mind what you just made, will you be relevant in a decade?
Longevity
The game will chew you up and spit you out, don't be that cat that folks forget about
Not everybody in this game is meant, try not to be the dude who came and went

[Verse 2]
Definition of longevity
Means that folks will be steadily bumping you heavily even when you're seventy
Establishing an eternal legacy, artistic equity
But long careers is what the average artist never see
Mastery of musical gospel
You don't want to be that hot dude today and next year people forgot you
The gift that God gave you keep feeding it
Increasing your deepness by reading and challenging your level and exceeding it
Accomplishments you had, gotta put those in the past
Never being satisfied with what you did last
No relaxing or chilling even after the checks cash
The only thing that matters right now is the next task
When they say your new project's your best, get mad
Then go back in the lab and surpass yourself fast
The key is to reap your skill and still keep it real
You last forever when you drop music that people feel

[Hook]

[Verse 3]
Claiming the real state that you can drive in the earth
Do insert yourself and multiply your body at work
When you're writing to save people with intelligent flows
The more you connect with them man your relevance grows
Yeah we want cash, but it's bigger than having some ends
You gotta be able to see past the fads and the trends
In the conversations of greats Imma consistently be
I want my fans' grandchildren to be listening to me
From my new music all the way to back in the days
And in my old age let them wheel me out on the stage
I want my hand to write every great creation it can
I thank God for the many generations I span
Last but not least, you doing good business, you maintain
Nothing runs you out the game as quick as having a bad name
If you tough enough to fight through the failures you get stronger
Be the people what you want them to be, you'll stay longer

How many times a day do you type the words "lol" and "k-rino?"
Nobody got mad about nothing, I laughed at the rage you put into the neg. My neg was 2 words, your neg was a thesis statement of emotion :umad:
