"They sit watchin me closely, hesitant to approach me
Hopin that I let a professional diagnose me
Instead of communicatin they wait to sedate me
Makin me deflate to unsafely medicate me
And turn me to a vegetable
with antidepressents bro, a cocktail of Paxil, Zoloft and Lexapro
The Prozac and Cymbalta make my moods alta
not only mentally but my physical started to falta
So hard, Oh lawd, no money no job, won't starve, options
Sell dope, go rob
Cant seem to get no
Peace of mind it's so
Chaotic and frustratin, borderline schizo
Deal with it, get help
Must make a fast choice
Conversations in my head
good voice bad voice
"Dont jump, jump now"
Somebody come help me
I just with the me in my own head would accept me"

Nobody can hate on these bars right here

This shyt was ill too, just listening to this...

[Verse Three]
Knowledge
In 1555 they put us on a ship
Thousands of miles across the water, that's a long trip
Strip the knowledge of self, devils flipped the script
Rip the shirt off my back and commence to whip
Murder to he or she who fought for the right to be free
Raping the sister while they hung the brother from a tree
Burning a body of a victim to ash and dust
And at the same time teaching religion to us
Emancipation proclamation
They let us go, only to make conditions worse than they was before
Cuz even though our asses are no longer in chains
They wrapped the mutha fukker smooth around our brains
Poverty stricken conditions lead to criminal shyt
"We're equal now"...got your ass subliminal shyt
If your great slave grand daddy could come from the past
And hear you bumpin that bullshyt he'd slam yo ass
Cuz just imagine how our first ancestors felt
Being decieved back in Africa, sold and dealt
They had to pay, with their life for us to walk today
400 years later still ain't left point A
Trippin

So if anybody is competing with K-Rino lyrically it's definitely himself lol, and a few others...

Breh I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because I respect you and you're a fellow nas stan. However its a little pathetic that you need to be @The Ruler 09's knight in white armour. He's a big boy who can handle jokes. It isn't that serious...

Now go get your fukking shine box :lolbron:
Breh - you had a spark when you started :lolbron:

Yeah, Longevity was an amazing song, really was...

The knowledge dropped was ILL...

The whole album was a conceptual masterpiece at an extremely high level. I'm already eagerly anticipating the next project.

[Intro]
See you in a million years
Longevity
I see you in a million years, that's if you're still here

[Verse 1]
Say, some of y'all just are arriving
So I'm obligated to familiarize you with where I've been
Subscribing to the sacrifice is usually the problem
Surviving and even thriving in the game is so conniving
The first thing that you should do, is make sure you
Study the history of artists who came before you
Their successes, their failures
See, there's a lesson in every message they tell you, don't let the stresses derail you
The next phase essentially, is finding your identity in the industry
Be patient cause it don't happen instantly
It takes a lot of long nights
Make sure that when you song write, the words correspond with your own life
Then you might appeal to all ages
You gotta maintain the same flame when the game evolves and changes
You can last or be a one-hit wonder
Make the choice between being a sprinter or a marathon runner

[Hook]

Longevity
It ain't about what people seeing now, it's about how long will you be around
Never mind what you just made, will you be relevant in a decade?
Longevity
The game will chew you up and spit you out, don't be that cat that folks forget about
Not everybody in this game is meant, try not to be the dude who came and went

[Verse 2]
Definition of longevity
Means that folks will be steadily bumping you heavily even when you're seventy
Establishing an eternal legacy, artistic equity
But long careers is what the average artist never see
Mastery of musical gospel
You don't want to be that hot dude today and next year people forgot you
The gift that God gave you keep feeding it
Increasing your deepness by reading and challenging your level and exceeding it
Accomplishments you had, gotta put those in the past
Never being satisfied with what you did last
No relaxing or chilling even after the checks cash
The only thing that matters right now is the next task
When they say your new project's your best, get mad
Then go back in the lab and surpass yourself fast
The key is to reap your skill and still keep it real
You last forever when you drop music that people feel

[Hook]

[Verse 3]
Claiming the real state that you can drive in the earth
Do insert yourself and multiply your body at work
When you're writing to save people with intelligent flows
The more you connect with them man your relevance grows
Yeah we want cash, but it's bigger than having some ends
You gotta be able to see past the fads and the trends
In the conversations of greats Imma consistently be
I want my fans' grandchildren to be listening to me
From my new music all the way to back in the days
And in my old age let them wheel me out on the stage
I want my hand to write every great creation it can
I thank God for the many generations I span
Last but not least, you doing good business, you maintain
Nothing runs you out the game as quick as having a bad name
If you tough enough to fight through the failures you get stronger
Be the people what you want them to be, you'll stay longer

[Hook]

This is one of the dopest tracks on the album too.

Yeah, this track got a lot of play, I like the steady multies and flow in this, also the content, and certainly the hook too. Great MC, capable of adapting to many different styles. With multies too sometimes some people sound forced or mechanic, this joint sounds perfectly natural and conversational in the flow, you don't even notice it unless you are looking for it.

I think @Hybrinetics mentioned how K-Rino has dope multies even within message songs too...

The content is also deep...

I dont think was probaby my most played track from Deprogrammed. When you go back through all his catalog, K is one of the most consistent with the multis no matter if he's doing bragaddacio or talking about food for thought political rhymes.

What do you think are K Rino's best verses when it comes to multies?

On the lyrical tracks too the shyt is crazy lol. But yeah I Don't Know was in contention for track for the year for me no doubt, it puts you in that environment and is saying a lot of real shyt It was a stand out to me too, along with Deprogrammed, but the whole thing gets play from me, F.S.R made me laugh solely due to the title lol...

You dumb as fukk, you should be ashamed to have the word intellectual in your name, even though you patently can't even spell it properly lol.

Keep listening to your "Drizzy Drake" and "champagne papi" bullshyt because your intellect isn't advanced enough to grasp such a concept.

This is lyricism, and K-Rino is the pinnacle of lyricism....

The pinnacle of lyricism to you as you have professed is....

"rain like a slight chance of rain when it's raining"

"you're like a contemporary museum of art, that farts"

"the flow is tight, SKINNY JEANS, SKINNY JEANS"

Will add on the many more if necessary if and when you reply.
:snoop: Resort to name calling when people disagree about music, brehs.

You're taking all these Lupe bars and isolating them from their original context to make them seem retarded because YOU say so. It's like when people make those Lil Wayne meme's and say his bars are just weak/silly. Separately, possibly. As a collective though, Wayne keeps your attention and cohesively weaves randomness together... It's artful. An emcee demands listeners.

Anyways, to get to the point. I used to be like you. I'd play stuff like this for people and they couldn't get down with it, e.g Nature of the Threat by Ras Kass. Thing is, songs like that should bring awareness and then you do research/inner studying of your own. This shyt is unlistenable bro. In what occasion can I get down to this? It's music after all, what else is it's purpose? If he wanted to be effective with his message, let's be honest, there are routes outside of music that'd probably be more beneficial for the masses!

I always take 2pac's Killuminati as a good example of slipping seeds into listeners brains, while the music still has GREAT replay value. As a song, this leaves much to be desired. But I guess we're all idiots who don't get it. :coffee:

Are you serious? Did you see who that reply was to? Lol.

No I'm not, regardless of context those bars are still wack. I think Lupe is good at his best, I was specifically talking about those bars which that fool was hyping up as the pinnacle of lyricism. Lol at ME taking something out of context and then doing it completely yourself in this post lol. Wayne has some wack bars, most people have some wack bars, but the difference is the hyping up of wack bars as the greatest lyrics of all time.

You can't be bringing up Lil Wayne lyrics in a K-Rino thread though nah? Lol. I like some of Wayne's shyt but he isn't on K-Rino's level as an artist and even less so as a lyricist.

You never used to be like me, I can tell from this post. Ok, you don't like the song, cool, you don't have to, many others evidently do so.....
