:wow: breh really is convinced k-stegosaurus is some kind of integral hip hop cog to the machine, instead of a dusty, small time Canibus lite conspiracy theory hack.

:wow:

Which would be correct :ld:

He played a major influence on some of the South's biggest & most influential rappers/groups

Bun B & Canibus list him as an influence.

3-6 Mafia cites his group SPC as one of their chief influences.

As well as several others like Z-Ro, Trae, Killer Mike, David Banner etc etc. etc.

No K-Rino/SPC and some of the shyt you hear in rap...might not even exist today. :wow:

One of the godfathers of this genre...which is part of the reason why he's the only hip-hop artist in his city (outside of Face & Geto Boys) in the Houston music hall of fame.

Cacs in the booth don't know shyt about rap :wow:

This is where your ignorance and lack of intelligence shows, not to mention cowardice and lack of conviction. It infact highlights greatly the programming. From the sounds of it you sound completely oblivious to K-Rino's history and music yet are still talking nonsense. Firstly he was here before Canibus, secondly K-Rino has much more than what you'd call "conspiracy tracks" which can be factually proven and I will show you many tracks and you can break down to me how they are "conspiracy tracks" but you won't do this, you will either not reply or deflect because you gonna duck the substance and science of shyt yet come in here and make a slick ignorant statement with no knowledge whatseoever. And I never said he is integral to any "Hip Hop machine", I said he is a legend and pioneer and a GREAT artist. It's interesting how always people wanna get away from the actual music and talk irrelevant bullshyt, don't even seem to want to engage in that particular debate, isn't the music what it's about? I would reply more to you, but what I was going to say @Iron Chin Wilder touched on so I'll reply to him instead as he clearly has more of a brain than you...

This was a great song, and the album was fantastic to me, I loved it, at least a 4.5 mic album to me. Amazing work, it's brilliant. Probably the best album of that year to me, I listen to it a lot, dope as hell.

There are countless examples, only the original Ghetto Boys had a record from H town before him, didn't K-Rino and his group release the 2nd ever rap record there?

K-Rino and SPC inspired countless rappers, more than it's possible to name. K-Rino is a legend and SPC are a legendary crew.

You look at the artists who have cited K-Rino as an influence and it's very impressive, Z-Ro, Trae Tha Truth, pretty much the whole SPC, Bun B etc...

I remember Chamillionaire citing K-Rino as a big influence too, and you can hear it in him in his style too...

Do you have a link to the David Banner, 3 6 Mafia, shyt?

That's a great point, he made the Houston music Hall Of Fame. That thread was on here too...

And true, there is quite a lot of ignorant people who seem very proud of their ignorance, if I don't know someone at least I'mma try check them out and get to know, and certainly wouldn't diss them without knowing about them.

On the 3-6 influence... Paul & Juice used to sample the shyt out of SPC tapes in their early work...and Paul said they were one of his favorite groups coming up. Lord Infamous in a old murder dog interview named NIP as one of his favorite rappers....they got about a dozen or so songs (at least) sampling or quoting SPC tracks...along with several other Memphis artists.

this is produced by Paul & Juice...the hook @ 1:13

No doubt, you got it going on with the music taste lol. That's a dope quality, my friend was telling me the other today about he finds a woman with good taste in music attractive, and that's real, it's really cool when that's the case so a great attribute to have lol.

Soundtrack To The Struggle, that's probably the Lowkey album to check. He did a song with Immortal Technique too,...

No doubt, I'mma be back with you with more too, obviously take your time and do it at your leisure, I'm just going to hit you with the information and then you can go from there.

Yeah Reflection Eternal was ill, and I agree he lost me a bit but he kind of had a resurgence to me too later on, but it was a good few projects where it seemed to be lacking, for whatever reason that may be.

Yeah, Ali is such a great artist and 1 of the most humble realest nicest people in Hip Hop. Respect him highly. Mourning In America was a tight album... Really, how did it change your life? Would be interested in hearing that sometime when your free (if it's not too private). I loved that album too though, I've played that so many times, I still do to this day...

Picket Fence...

:blessed:

I'm an Atmosphere fan too, love how poetic and conceptual Slug is, and love Ant's beats. Rhymesayers has also been 1 of the labels I've always respected.

It's all good, it's no problem, it's a pleasure, I love Hip Hop so it's fun for me to talk about it lol.

Course, got to have all that, and a positive balance. And course, that's just life and it's good to have fun and mess around and stuff too. That's why I love Hip Hop too, so diverse and unrestricted.

It's weird, with my passion for music I have yet to find a guy that is as crazy about it as me. That is my dream man :steviej:.
That is the exact song I first found of Lowkey and was like :mindblown:. What have I been ignoring across the pond?

And as for Ali, I have studied Malcolm X since I was a freshman in high school so I have been drawn to Malcolm's story, life and teachings (including Islam's teachings of peace). I don't ascribe to any religion but I recognize the principles can be applied to help uplift oneself.

I found Ali in college when I was going through a tough time. Moved 400 miles from home. Broke of course. Didn't have many friends. On a campus where I felt like an alien and I honestly wanted to quit school and go back home. I don't even remember how I found the album but the moment I heard it :mindblown::banderas::lupe::blessed:all at once. I just felt his passion and a lot of the pain in some of the songs I hella identified with. And songs like Star Quality, Shadows on the Sun, Forest Whitiker, Picket Fence and Champion made me feel like I wasn't alone in feeling out of place, insecure and unsure but knowing that I wanted more. And that it was ok to feel all of that. It helped me to not freaking quit on myself. I listened to that album over and over for that entire semester. The vibe of the album ran the gamut of emotions and I just felt better when I listened to it. It got me through.

It was like I found a man who was honest, not misogynistic, creative, humble, funny, not afraid to express his flaws and super duper talented. What more could I ask for :pachaha:.

I always respected his honestly and passion and his pureness of heart. And I was blown away that he didn't cuss for the most part :dwillhuh:. He basically reignited my love of hip hop and I guess myself. :yeshrug: Been a fan ever since.

And I loved Mourning In America. I bought that joint on vinyl :blessed:. Prob my favorite from that year.

And I love Slug. And Ants production is just phenomenal. I'm feeling that Southsiders album a lot. I think they finally nailed their change in sound that they were moving towards on the last couple of projects.

That Hip Hop knowledge and history :blessed:

I'm gonna check all these out and the said groups/individuals too, a few I hadn't heard of.

Did you hear that K-Rino interview I posted? shyt is dope, he goes into some of the history, the Ghetto Boys/Geto Boys, all types of shyt, his Hip Hop knowledge and depth is deep, he's talking about everybody from T-La Rock, KRS-One, Rakim, Scarface. Think he named his top 5 too, I think it was KRS-One, T-La Rock, Melle Mel, Rakim & Scarface. But I could be wrong, I'm going to relisten to the whole thing and write out notes, will transcript quotes from it too because it is such a dope interview. He mentiones Twista, all kinds of shyt, very dope for any K-Rino fan or any true fan of Hip Hop for the knowledge, history and insight.

P.S:

Trolls, he's called a legend in that interview too like countless others, along by countless other MC's, pioneers and legends...
