Yeah, but he was still on the hot seat on how they fared in bowl games. Remember that term, "Clemsoning"?

He took the heat off his ass when he beat LSU in 2012 he had Spurrier problems during the lattimore/clowney days and lost to 2 loaded FSU teams in 2012 and 13 I didn't get the sense he was ever on a hot seat like a coach strong at Texas outside of Jimbo he was the only one doing shyt for the ACC at the time

Dave Zirin makes his money by writing about these same athletes. White liberals aren't on our team either.

Dabo already won an ACC title and back to back NY6 bowls before Watson stepped on campus
he basically got fat off of beating unranked teams in the regular season until watson got there. he had one regular season win over a team that finished ranked in the top 20 in both polls his first 6 seasons. having said that watson didnt save him, he was making the right hires, amassing talent, and continuing to improve his program in every aspect. fukk him as a person, but with the likes of boulware and wilkins, he put together a village people tribute band and won a national title.

not many coaches survive losing to their rival 5 straight times by double digits let alone go on a run like they have the past 2 years. its a lesson in hard work, perseverance, and that 2017 will be the end of the world.
