Are you kidding me

He goes from a player with a 4.78 career ERA to a Career 4.78 ERA pitcher who pitched a perfect game

Sheeeit, perfect games are being pushed like weight now. Hell - dude who brought him up in here didn't even have his name right.

Niccas don't finish perfect game everyday, B. He'll be aight...

Because if he'd overturn a call like that, then how could he NOT overturn calls in the future that actually DID impact the game or a pennant race?

Because it was clearly a unique situation. The outcome of the game would not have been affected by him overturning the ump's blown call. He got the very next guy out. You are not even attempting to make a serious argument here.

he couldve because it was the last play of a game. So theres nothing else that couldve happened. Like lets say he overturns Jeffery Maier, that doesnt work cause you cant say for sure what happens the rest of the game. But this was the last out. correct call is made and game over,

Secondly Galaraga wouldve been one of only 20 something people in history to have a pg, thats minimum card shows for decades.

nah I remembered, I accidentally wrote andres galaragga in the op, thinking of the big cat but i meant Armando, they literally ruined his life, he couldve made money off that PG forever. Also I thought since it was the last play of the game, that fagggot Bud couldve overturned it but he didnt.

I don't think Bud was at the game in question and even if he was, what people were asking him to do was weird. They wanted him to call it a perfect game in the record books even though someone clearly reached base in the scorebook.

In theory, Joyce could have corrected his call or asked for help at the time but since he didn't do that, it's final. The runner was safe at first because in the eyes of the umpire, the runner beat the throw to the base.

Heaven forbid we had replay in baseball. It'd ruin the sport and take WAY too much time during a game. :stopitslime:

Just make it exactly like the NFL's challenge system: Each team gets two challenges and a third if they get them both right. There aren't that many plays where it's needed and it would take about two minutes max for them to look at the blown calls. Any counter-arguments are ridiculous. It's 2012 for godsakes.
