Been smoking cigars on and off for about 10 years, been back into it heavy the past 2. Have a collection of around 700 cubans and 2-300 non cubans :mjlit:

Ihavanas and friendsofhabanos are great for cubans

What's up Gang. I wanted to start a thread on cigars....A place where we can talk about our fave smokes, least fave smokes, make suggestions, give advice, talk humidor, tupidors, cigar lounges, etc etc. Only real legit cigars please, lets leave black and milds, weed and things of that nature out of here.

I'll start with the Ashton VSG. This is a very complex cigar that does a lot of things but doesn't do too much extreme. I love it!! It's such a great and wonderful smoke. Full bodied and full of delicious flavor....it is expensive but it's worth it to me.

Another cigar I'll talk about is Fat Bottom Betty by Drew Estate, this are fairly new to the market, and are very sweet and smooth. I like them a lot, they are different.....I call them more of a modern day smoke. If you are new to cigars, this is a good one to start with b/c of the sweetness and flavor and it's not overpowering. Or fellas if you are looking for a stick for your girl to smoke with you....this is a good choice.

Why, my dude!? Anyway good thread. Fyi, here in Kenya thanks to BS anti smoking regs you CAN'T buy cigars! The main manufacturers Brit American Tobacco and Mastermind after each paying like 300k USD for an operational licence made sure foreign smokes wouldn't get any local marketing.
Now cigars are sold STRICTLY online. Imagine that ISHYT!? Will be back soon.

Cigars deserve 2 things:
The right company is paramount to enjoy the sensation. You don't want grimy nikkas sniffing at your sticks while smoking blunts talmbout the game and other negro pursuits.
The proper pairing compliments the taste. As a long time Macallan 12 man I've come to truly appreciate its subtleties of spice and sweetness. It took me a while to find the right smoke to complement it but imo Montecristo No 2 hits the spot. The no 1 overwhelms the delicate Macallan.
For a smokier single malt I go for Lagavulin 16 and have found it goes best with Padron 1926 .

Edit:smoking cigarettes since '89 and cigars in 98 first on and off then more regularly over the years/

Btw, does anyone here infuse his whisky with cigar smoke or is it just me? After the first quarter you exhale into your drink, cover with a hand and gently stir.
You can dip NOT SOAK the cap inside to further enhance the taste cause by this time your MOUTH is already coated with the whisky and cigar elements. Idk if this is WHAT some call the retro hale but if YOU'VE properly paired your drink and smoke it all comes together!
