So quick run down.
I think There's been 1 time in his career post durant where he actually had spacing, and that was with the Rockets.
On that Rockets team, he was the second option behind Harden. Where he avg 27-8-7.
On the Lakers, there's was no spacing AND he was the 3rd option AND coming of the bench and STILL put up 20-8-9 per 36 minutes. That's absurd.
People talk about Russ missing layups, well with the spacing on the clippers, he might just Dunk instead and he's not missing that.
People talk about his turnovers and its valid. BUT, if Russ averages 6 turnovers a game, but he's the primary ball handler, the Clippers as a team will still have one of the lowest turnover averages in the league.
Russ will free up PG and make Kawhi's game a bit easier. Not to mention how he can help Zubac and Plumlee. We saw what he was doing with Thomas Bryant.
Like I said before, it's 3 LA guys on the Clippers now. That are true to the City. It's the perfect scenario for the clippers to take that final step towards a championship.
And if that happens, there's going to be alot of apologies going around.
