I think the inaccuracy in map shaping doesn't have to be malicious to still have negative effects with regards to understanding the reality of Africa


In other words, they didn't make it like that for the express purpose of miniaturizing Africa, but the smaller image does cause problems in comprehending its vastness

Sometimes I weep for this country. I went to public school in the 5th largest school district in the US and my education was relative shyt but when I hear these dudes talk about some of the things that they didn't learn or were kept away from from them, I scratch my head on some of their claims.
